But sometimes I make things right

The other day I came across a recipe for a Roasted Carrot Tart with Carrot-Green Pesto. The photo of the tart looked amazing. But what intrigued me the most was the use of puff pastry.

I don’t think I have ever cooked with puff pastry before. I wouldn’t dare! It looks fragile. I would probably have issues defrosting it. Then stretching it. Not to mention baking it. But since I am a ‘food blogger’ now, I felt I needed to bring things to the next level had give puff pastry a go. In the worst case scenario there will be plenty of material for another blog post!

Feeling extra courageous, I walked into a supermarket with my head high and sharp look. One could tell I was on a mission! A mission that failed, though. Despite my effort and determination, I just couldn’t find any puff pastry in that supermarket!

I didn’t give up! I found it in another shop, brought it home and started working on it. And I succeeded! My tart didn’t look exactly like on the picture, but the appearance of my creations is the least of my concerns. But it tasted bloody good!
